Revenue Sources

Asian Journal of Forestry is an open-access journal that does not charge fees for subscriptions or advertising. To ensure sustainable operations and high-quality publishing services, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for articles that have been accepted for publication.

Key Points:

  • No submission fees – Authors do not pay any charges during submission or peer review.

  • No fees for rejected articles – If a manuscript is not accepted for publication, no costs are incurred by the authors.

  • APC for accepted articles – Only manuscripts that pass peer review and are ready for publication are subject to the APC.

The primary revenue sources for managing the journal include:

  1. Article Processing Charges (APCs) from accepted articles.

  2. Support from Smujo International as the main publisher.

  3. Printing costs (if applicable for print versions).

This funding model helps maintain the journal’s accessibility while ensuring quality standards in editing, production, and dissemination.

Advertising

Asian Journal of Forestry does not accept advertising.

Direct Marketing

Direct marketing activities for this journal are in collaboration with the Society for Indonesian Biodiversity through organizing national seminars and international conferences or contacting authors directly.
