The potential of Vitex trifolia (Verbenaceae) as a botanical insecticide to control Crocidolomia pavonana (Lepidoptera: Crambidae)

Crocidolomia pavonana (Lepidoptera: Crambidae). Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 4: 169-172. This study was conducted to evaluate
the potency of Vitex trifolia leaves for controlling Crocidolomia pavonana pest. V.trifolia leaves were extracted with ethyl acetate. The
extract was tested for their toxicity, and antifeedant effect against C. pavonana. The result showed that etyl acetat extract of V. trifolia
leaves was active against C. pavonana larvae with LC50 of 0,19% . The antifeedant effect of the V. trifolia leaves on C. pavonana larvae
(feeding inhibition [FI]: 83,21%).extending the larval development 1,69-2,10 days when compared with controls, and resulting the
lowest percentage of pupa and imago (13,33% and 4,00%).
